GLYCYRRHIZIN
It has anti-ulcerous, anti-viral and interferon induction.
It inhibits protein phosphorylation by Kinase P.
It binds directly to Kinase P to reduce kinase activity.
It prevents the viral growth of several DNA (herpes virus)
and RNA viruses, including varicella-zoster virus.
Its anti-inflammatory activity may be attributable to the
inhibition of prostaglandin E2 production.

Glycyrrhizinic acid
interacts with virus structures (proteins), producing different
effects depending on the affected viral stage:
Extracellular inactivation of free virus
particles.
Prevention of intracellular uncoating of infecting particles.
Impairment of the assembling ability of structural virus
components.
